Would you like to participate in a gentle and meditative evening walk and support sixteen diverse, LGBTQI+ voices to glow and take up space, as they speak out from our beautiful orbs?
We have up to 20 spots available for community members who might like to have the experience of walking through city spaces with these voices.
There will be six late evening walks on different dates in June and July, usually Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.
Each walk will last approx. 1hr and 10mins
During each walk, a group of participants carry illuminated orb lights through the city streets in the evening, transmitting the voices
Inside each orb are 16 voice recordings - these play out gently from waterproof speakers, as the beautiful light pulses with the speech's rhythms to the colours of the rainbow.
Each voice is from a member of our wide LGBTQI+ identity answering the question: What would you like the wider public to know about your LGBTQI+ identity that you think is most misunderstood?
The walks all take place in throughout different parts of Cork City - All participants will be given the route in advance.

Please mention where you heard about the walks.
We are being careful to approach community members through known community channels, to ensure the safety of all.
These are pop-up walks, and will not be advertised in advance; they aren't performances and are meant to suddenly appear and create curiosity and interest.
The walks have six different routes and are carefully planned and led so that participants are cared for. The walks are slow, accessible and meditative, so that passersby can hear substantial parts of the voices.
This is an artistic project, supported by the Arts Council, Gay Project, Circus Factory and UCC, that finds ways to bring our communities' voices into public in new ways.
